About Me & Resume
My name is Brandon Beahm and I’ve lived in Seattle my entire life.
Computers and all things tech have always been a deep passion of mine since I was a toddler; tearing apart and putting back together the family VCR out of curiosity. Currently I’m an aspiring IT professional, with the longer goal of achieving an expertise in at least one field of tech.
I’m currently working on an IT Networking & Server Administration AAS Degree at North Seattle College and am one quarter away from obtaining it. I also have planned and am working toward a number of industry certifications, which a lot of my IT college courses have already begun prepping me for.
As well as my passion for tech I also am fond of business in general. In 2013 I was awarded my AAS Degree in Business Entrepreneurship from Shoreline Community College. This degree has proven to be a great basis for my life. The business knowledge I’ve obtained over the years continues to shape the way I think about and approach various aspects of my life including my pursuit of a career in the IT field.
I enjoy working on a lot of side projects for fun and for learning. I also like to work in my “homelab” of servers/networking gear as well as utilizing various cloud providers and their services. I find hands-on learning to be more mentally engaging and fulfilling. I also believe it gives a better understanding and allows longer retention rates of knowledge and information learned, compared to just reading books alone.
This site will hopefully provide others with more of an insight to who I am, what I enjoy doing, and the types of projects I enjoy working on. As well as also serving as a place for me to keep track of certain projects for my own benefit.
